For Summer 2008, Beacon Rock Golf Course is starting a Junior Golf League.  Junior golfers 17 years old and younger are invited to participate in the league which will start Friday July 11 and run each Friday through August 29.  First tee time is 9:30 am each week.

League registration fee is $5 per junior and will be used to purchase prizes at the end of the season.  BRGC will add $1 to the prize fund for each league round played.

Weekly green fees are $10 and included nine-holes of golf, hot dog and a fountain drink.

League members will participate in a season long ringer/eclectic format.  Each junior's competition score is their lowest score on each hole made during league play.  This fomat provides the opportunity for a junior to pick up on a hole if they are taking a big number without jeopardizing their tournament score.

Junior will compete in flights and tees based on their age.  The flights are

• 7 years old and under from PGA Family Tees Level 1 approximately 1,100 yards
• 8 - 10 years old from PGA Family Tees Level 2 approximately 1,900 yards
• 11 - 12 years old from Red Tees
• 13 - 14 years old from White Tees
• 15 - 17 years old will play "The Long Nine" Par-37

Parents are encouraged to car pool and stay during the round to help forecaddie for the younger players.
